Our hearts are heavy with the passing of George Little, a lively man who brought us love and light.
At this sad time we are heartened to know that he loved us too! The Little Family penned a tribute that mirrored the man — fun-loving and thankful — and thoughtfully included us in the rememberance, too:
George D. Little, Jr., of The Dalles, Ore., passed away on Jan. 7, 2018. He was 90 years young.
George was born July 31, 1927, to George and Eleanor Little in Spokane, Wash. He spent the largest portion of his life in The Dalles, surrounded by many aunts, uncles and cousins, many of whom he remained close to.
George married Frances Guth, (who survives him) and together they had three children, Betsy Clow (Tom), Kathy Hayden (Wayne) and John Little. He enjoyed his grandchildren Steve, (Tiffany) Clow, Shannon (Mike) Salts, Tracy Clow, David and Bradley Little. He always had an enormous smile when he saw his great grandchildren, Annabelle and Elena Clow and Norah Salts.
George and Frances ran Jenny’s Discount Furniture in The Dalles for almost 18 years, and were active in Little League, American Legion and all the sports that David and Bradley participated in. He never missed a practice or a game. He also was a member of the Masons.
Also missing him, are the staff and residents of Columbia Basin. They were his family, too! He spent the last day of his life telling everyone how much he loved them. They loved him and are grieving with us all!
Like he said “Until next time!” We are counting on that!
